15 September – 1 October 2011
Tuesday – Saturday 11am – 5pm

The king tides occur when the Earth, moon and sun are aligned at perigee and perihelion.
In the winter the king tide usually occurs at night and therefore often goes unnoticed…

David Barnes responds to his experience of community in South Wales, augmenting a core photographic practice with installation and video work. King Tide is a rich and emotional reflection on home, the passing of time, and our own relation to memory and history. The exhibition is also supported by Cynon Valley Museum & Gallery, University of Wales Newport and The Fine Art Print Company
